State Grants
TEOG is awarded to eligible students on a first-come, first-served basis until funds
are expended. In order to be considered for TEOG, please ensure to fill out the application
and state aid certification form.
Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG)
At SPC, TPEG is primarily awarded during the summer sessions; no application is required.
Texas Grant Program (Toward Excellence, Access, and Success)
SPC can only award renewal grants. Please contact the Financial Aid Office if you
believe you qualify for a renewal award.

Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA)
Students classified as Texas residents who are not eligible to apply for federal financial
aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are encouraged to complete
the TASFA, which helps to determine eligibility for state (or institutional) financial
aid programs administered by institutions of higher education in the state of Texas.
Solicitud de Ayuda Financiera Estatal de Texas
Se alienta a los estudiantes clasificados como residentes de Texas que no son elegibles
para solicitar ayuda financiera federal utilizando la Solicitud Gratuita de Ayuda
Federal para Estudiantes (FAFSA) a completar el TASFA. Para ayudar a determinar la
elegibilidad para los programas de ayuda financiera estatales (o institucionales)
administrados por instituciones de educación superior en el estado de Tejas.

TASFA Checklist
- Completed 2024-2025 TASFA Application
- If you worked:
- Your signed and dated 2022 tax return
- Your 2022 w2s
- Your parents signed and dated 2022 tax return
- Your parents’ 2022 w2s
- Please provide the completed application and other documents to the Financial Aid
Office
**Do not leave anything blank. If you have no income or amounts to report on the
application fill in the spaces with zeros.
Initial applicants must submit the above and following items:
- Residency Affidavit turned into Admissions & Records
- Texas Educational Opportunity Grant (TEOG) Application
Important:
Documents can be submitted in person at the Levelland, Reese, Lubbock, or Plainview
Center.
